Like many disciplines, stereology has it’s own set of terms and symbols. If they are not defined, reading through a stereological paper can be daunting.
The basic symbols are uppercase letters that represent different types of quantities.
Note that sometimes it is helpful to look up a word in this glossary to see if the term has another meaning in stereology.
